Each year we try to fish for our birthdays, and this year we fished Ohia. It was a cold Friday when we pulled in to check in, we stayed put and got set up, going out later in the evening. Saturday, I popped a 37.5 on a morning rattle bait. We saw two more. Sunday I raised two, Mauser got a dink.
Monday we switched lakes and I got a 37 on a Sledge and a fat 41 on a Treats. Went back to the home lake. I got a 31 on a Sledge, which inspired Mauser to put on one and have a 42 hit it real hard. I got another 31 and I raised one more.
Went back to the same spot Wednesday and Mauser again got a 42 out by the point. It went nuts at the boatside, and when it saw me put the net out it tried to jump over the net and nearly ended up in my arms. A hook from the bait delt a glancing blow to my left thumb, so glad it did't dig in.
Thursday, went back to the other lake and each of us raised one good fish and I boated a big bass.
Water temps went from 48* last Friday to over 60 by Thursday. We had a blast. I'll have my partner add some of his tales. Will try to add pics. m
