Posts: 9 | Looking for some advice on where to place mega SI transducer on g3 ccj. This is my first fish finder so I’m pretty much clueless on transducer location. Thanx in advance.

Posts: 1677 Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Matt gets the location right in the video, but his approach on angle is backwards. Level the transducer. Google transducer coin leveling. It makes a huge difference with returns.

I personally use a digital angle finder, but it is the same concept. Edited by RyanJoz 3/18/2021 9:46 PM

Posts: 426 | I've used a laser with great results. A lser pointer can be used or a laser level makes the install easier. You must make sure the hull is square to the laser beams. That's the hardest part. Edited by 7ovr50 3/19/2021 6:08 AM

Posts: 536 Location: deephaven mn | you want to mount it on drivers side, its a big transducer and heard of it effecting boat getting on plain if mounted on passenger side, (portside) if you have smaller motor and less than perfect hole shot it can effect your boats performance Edited by kap 3/24/2021 6:27 AM
