It did seem like he was not giving the fish much room.

Definitely not trying to dog the guy, but thats a good size fish so it needs good sized turns.

Awesome!! That's a nice little river rig too, brings up the thought of putting my 14ft Alumacraft F7 back into service as a no frills river boat, would be perfect!!

668 here in the Twin Cities - Fox Sports North

Can also be found on Youtube, just search Keyes Outdoors. They usually put them on Youtube a day after the show is on TV.

Where are Dave and Ben on the show? I know sometimes they have their own stuff going on, but basically just Schaeffer as the copilot the first two is interesting. Also, is he back to using Drifter nets? I saw he blurred out the net name on the hoop and RS is still a sponsor. I don't care either way, just made me curious.

Still a fan of him and the show, and looking forward to the rest of the episodes... Is it June yet??

I like Keyes shows in that he tries stuff and sometimes it doesn't work and he is not afraid to fail. Also, a few years ago the spouse of one of the folks in my department was with a guide on Green Bay. He had the goal of getting one over 50 and while he had come close a number of times, didn't quite get it done. Well that day he got a 53 and was super excited. The guide had been in touch with Keyes who was also on the Bay and called him after they released the fish. When they got back to the launch, Keyes was waiting for them, congratulated him, posed for pictures and was really amped up over him catching that big fish. Guy told me you would have thought he was an old friend. Wanted to see the photos, shook his hand, the whole bit.
