Hello guys,

I'm A pike fisherman in Europe, sadly No musky over here :(.
I mostly Fish with bigger lures 6-14 ounce. Now I use a Musky Innovations pounder rod until 16 ounce but I find it a stuff rod that punishes me Every cast.

I saw the st croix premier rubber rod, the Pmxhf90. It looks like a beast!
Does anyone here fished with the rod and can tell me it's findings?
I also like to know if it would be possible to shorts casts with the 40cm Savage gear Line thrue Trout (24 ounce). Here in Europe it's a beast of a lure for the big gators. It's not Always possible or allowed to trol on oure waters, thats why I'd like to cast this chunk.

Regards,

Jasper!

Hello,

Im a european pike guy as well who likes to cast the really big stuff.

For the 40cm trout and other big lures (2lb dawg, 40cm viper...), I use a tackle industries xxxh. Awsome rod & the fact that it is telescopic makes it a bit cheaper to ship across the pond. Also Tackle industries tends to be helpful when it comes to customer service.

i would not go with the Pmxhf90, it is rated for only 16 ounce, would most likely be a pain to cast 24 ounce with it (if it doesint break)
