I tried searching a bit, but couldn't find any information.

Does anyone know the length of rod lockers in the Ranger 690 models? Side counsel, dual counsel, etc.

And how many rods will they hold comfortably?

Thanks.

Single counsel fits 8ft not sure about dual as its a different location. Can cram about 10-15 rods depending on reel size obviously big trolling reels and tranx 500 will take up more space and will put you closer to 10 where smaller profile set ups you can probably get a few more in there

My buddy has a 98 and mines a 99. Which are pretty much identical wish I could fit 8'6" I do believe 96 is a little but different of a hull

Hull is the same, compartments are a little different. I think your live well is longer and you have an actual battery storage compartment. I just have a carpeted, fiberglass cover that goes over the batteries.

I can fit a 9' in my 2000 692, maybe even a 9'6. The ends of the tubes have to be removed for this. The rod storage is a little small but it is manageable. The step thats built into the lid cuts into the storage area.

How do you go about removing the end of the tubes in a '99 692VS? I have one tube that'll take an 8' 6", and that's it.
Thanks

I believe there are 4 screws holding the tubes in. The screws are in the side of the metal piece that holds all the tubes. Pull that out and all the tubes with it. I recommend doing it to some of the middle tubes where you have the longest part of the bow.

Some guys take out the tubes altogether giving you more freedom to stack rods. I haven't tried this yet.
