Location: Bloomington, MN | I was an avid "Creature"/Jig fisherman about 35+ years ago and have started to dabble in it again. Unfortunately, I seem to pick up the heavy bait casting rod and toss a Boilermaker or a Fat Bastard more often than the rigged up spinning outfit. The action that a Reaper tail produces is so realistic...NOT! I don't work for this Aussie company, but there has to be an application for clearer water muskie anglers tossing one of their squids. Muskies are different critters, but Great Slave Lakers that eat just about anything will hopefully be impressed. https://chasebaitsusa.com/products/ultimate-squid

Location: SE, WI. | Clark; What , no Black colors in these Squids??? I'm sure they would produce. Not too streamline. Looks like the target Market on these squids is more geared towards ocean fish. A lot better options for jig/ creature than a reaper. Especially for sight fishing, Creature spins, paddle tails W/ cork in the tail, lizards, Fandango's are, I think better baits for sight fishing.... There are situations where the old Jig/reaper combo comes into play. I like them W/deep coontail / cabbage, in the fall. Very deadly bait ripped through deep weeds like 12-16', late in the season. You don't necessarily need the old spinning reel for creature fishing. Lots of high speed baitcasters out there Now that work fine for creature Applications.... JD |
