Hope you are walleye fishing. Muskies really are tougher to hit on at Leech this time of year. I don't start until it gets warmer in July. We have seen fish in June in shallow water in emerging green cabbage. Last time was close to a spawning area, so to me, it means they are hanging closer to these areas in mid June. Where are you staying?

Water in Agency was 56 in the AM Sunday June 2 and 60 in mid-afternoon when I left. There were practically no weeds in Agency or Walker last week, only some weeds in the warmest, sheltered areas of the lake.

main lake fish spawn a fair distance from their summer ranges so they can be quite spread out, its a long swim from pelican to portage or sucker bay. Walker bay fish don't have to travel as far and get back to their summer ranges faster, but its Walker Bay and can always be tough. if you like to troll you can find some in transition. Casting think more about rest stops rather than homes. Look up the old Leech Strand study and it will prove useful.

I’d consider open water. All bait pods in Kabekona Bay,all humps and ‘off’ the sand bars around the Walker Bay entrance to Agency Narrows and all humps in Walker Bay.If near try around the highway bridge going into A Ching and the old RR trestle area in southern Walker Bay as well.
