I haven't been there this year, but am heading there Wednesday for a long weekend. The spawn is pretty much over, may be some really late stragglers though. IDNR was netting a month ago. Can't help with anything else. I'll know more Thursday. Water temps on reservoirs in AR are mid 60s. Probably low 60s there.

Water temp was 61 give or take Friday. It dropped 3-4 degrees and the water level rose 2.5' due to cold rains Wednesday and Thursday. Part of the launch dock at Paul Ice was under water. Clarity varied from stained to muddy. We marked shad 10' down in the coves in Paul Ice. I was with a buddy prefishing for the weekend tournament doing a lot of spot hopping but we didn't move a fish. Unfortunately the forecast is calling for rain most of next week.

I was also there Thursday through Sunday but I was not fishing the tournament. SO IL Muskie Hunter is spot on with his report. We didn't move a fish. A bit disappointing.

According to anonymous sources, 2 fish were caught Saturday in the tournament with 37.5" being the biggest. Eight were caught Sunday with a 47.5" taking big fish. 6 were caught in the last hour. No report on patterns or locations as usual.
