Every summer I go to a resort in Ontario that has pretty decent rental boats (16-17 foot G3's) so I never bother to trailer mine for the 12 hour drive. Between musky and walleye gear my problem always has been too much stuff in the boat. Any ideas out there to reduce clutter? How would you store 6-8 musky sticks and a couple walleye rods?

If you need to carry that many toys you'll never be in my boat. What does your partner carry or maybe you don't have room for a partner. I'm afraid to ask how many lures you carry.

I would reduce the number of rods in the boat down to 3. Leave the rest in the cabin. The same with lures if you are having trouble with storage. Take what you know you need and maybe some extra lures you want, want to try, swap out as needed. Leave the rest in the cabin.

2-3 rods, maybe 6-10 lures 1-Net... Oh, Beer.. That said I have about 100 or so lures stored in compartments and out of site.

Pretty much a ditto here, I would absolutely have all the sticks along, but 2-3 per man max in the boat. I’m also understanding the tow issues but I am bringing my own boat along. I think it’s just worth it. My boat is a lot of the enjoyment of the Canada trip, but it’s personal preference for sure.

Fishing in someone else's boat, I bring 3 rods max, and a 10" by 15" Flambeau bag, that can hold a couple dozen lures, extra leaders, and tools... Very compact..
