Location: MN | How deep have you been able to get a Mattlock or Headlock down without adding weight? Anyone get to a confirmed 25-30 ft? How much line?
I see mixed messages out there - website says 23' with 45' of 100 lb braid, but they posted a dive chart on their facebook page that says 14' with 70' of 80 lb braid. Pretty big difference between those two.
What have you seen for running depths? I haven't tried running them deep yet, but it seems like I hit bottom in 10-12' with 50' of 130 lb braid out, using the shallow eye on a 12" Mattlock. In some situations I want to troll down in the 25-30 ft range... wondering if these baits will get down there and a ballpark on line out. |

| I have always used 3ft down for every 10ft of line out on the front pin, +1 on the second pin. Seems to be pretty accurate for me. |

Location: MN | Have you ever ran them down to a confirmed 20 ft? 60-70 ft of line out get the job done? |

| I usually only fish them around suspended bait fish and never need to get them down that deep. Sorry I can't help any more. Duff is a really nice guy, send him a message. |

Location: MN | Thanks for the info.
I did call Supernatural yesterday and talked to Duff briefly. It sounds like 24' is about the max with 80 lb braid.
If they'll run that deep without weight, I'm thinking 25-30' is doable with 4-8 oz of lead added. |
