Thanks |

| I don't use them anymore but you could go with 40-50lb mono big game line or back with mono and add some 80-100lbs braid to the reel and you are good to go |

| 7000 don't last with regular cranks so i would say no for c4,c3 6000's |

Location: oswego, il | Depends on what you are trolling. Should be ok for regular sized musky baits, small boards and do not use a locked down drag. You can use mono or braid, mono would be easier on the reel. Depends too on the depth you want to cover. |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | I highly recommend ABU 7000 great Trolling reel, large Spools and good Drags.
Go with the 5 gears and the older ones are the Best.
6000 and 5000 are Ok for smaller Baits, keep a loose drag install a power handle from
ABU and use the 5 gears. Easy reel to repair makes great trolling reels. |

| try a 7000 with a 8 inch perchbait or any other deep diver for more than just 1 week per year ,you will see.anyway it's not a trolling reel at all |

I think we can agree your applications are different than someone trolling in illinois, indiana, kentucky or wisconsin, just to name a few. |
