Location: Northern Illinois | You are probably not getting a true measurement of the voltage when battery is not under load. |

The battery starts the big motor with no problems |

Location: MN | The amount of power supplied from the battery to the unit can drop, depending on the size of your wire to the unit. Running large, 12 or 10 gauge wire as your power leads to the unit help eliminate resistance in the wire.
However, it sounds like your battery was not supplying near the power it should have been, due to cells going bad and it not holding a charge under the load. I had a battery this year that cranked my engine fine but was still bad, as it would not run my graphs for more than a few hours. New battery, no issues. |
