While working on Facebook a bit ago, I received this message:

My name is Mick Cleveland. I’m asking you to help my brother Todd who was diagnosed with lung and brain cancer on Wednesday March 21st.

Todd just turned 54, he’s been married to his wife Sandy for about 25 years and they are devoted parents to their son Joseph. Other than family, Todd's passions are all forms of music (biggest Van Halen fan), playing drums and Muskie fishing. Over the past 23 years Todd has been self-employed building hand-made Muskie lures. Todd is an artist and a craftsman. If you saw what he builds you would agree.

Click HERE to go to the Go Fund Me page and lend a helping hand.

Cancer sucks.

Like many, I always enjoy talking with Todd at the MN show, watching him stroll into the swap at OGARAS with a box of goodies and seeing the vultures swoop in, and of course throwing his baits! Cancer indeed sucks. Kick it's arse, Todd.

Best wishes to Todd and his cancer battle, as I'm battling bone cancer myself. I use to fish Phantoms quite a bit and spoke with him at several Minnesota Muskie Expos, seems like a nice guy. Warning the chemo can be as bad as the disease, and cancer does suck. Stay strong.

Remarkable person with an incredibly inventive mind that came up with designs that have endured and been copied again and again. Terrible news..
Oh, and I love that the tea party's brainwashing worked so well that folks still refer to the patient protection and affordable care act of 2010 as Obamacare. Just like cattle. Ready to hop in line and follow.

Truly one of the most genuine people in the musky business. When I started building rods in the early 2000's, it was Todd that took me around to introduce me to a bunch of people in the business to help me out and what a help it was.

I talked to Todd last night and with his permission I would like to donate a gift he gave me many years ago. It is a super sized phantom. It has been hanging in my rod shop since I got it and has never been thrown. He told me last night he believes he only made 5 or 6 of them. Where would be the best place to donate it?

Thanks Keith

You could give it to the North Metro Chapter to include with a raffle or handle the raffling on one of the Facebook pages. We've got a few things in the works for a Todd raffle and would be more than happy to include this in one of them.

Many good talks with Todd, resulting in even more custom lures over the years. Beat this, and keep rockn' man.

Stay strong Todd. God Bless!

I just talked to Todd today, April 17, he's home and doing well post surgery. Says he's not having any headaches. He's upbeat and positive.
