Looking at heading out to French River. Any thoughts recommendation to Lower vs. Upper. Possibly also whiling to go to Georgian bay.

Thanks guys, appreciate your thoughts.

Big fish in both. I prefer the lower as this time of year you'll be chasing the fishing coming in from the bay.
Upper I find a tougher fish with those coming from Nip, more caught trolling a spread around shoals with different baits and finding what works in bigger water.
Lower think river system and current, find the breaks. Jakes and in-line spinners are my go to's.
Ask about hazards when launching to locals who know. Even seasoned vets get dinged up. Last year I was pulling out when JP De Rose came in had his skeg mangled. If you're coming in from distance best to pack an extra prop.

The Upper and Nipeeing are charted, the lower is not.
