Tranx 400. You would have a great all purpose setup for everything but big blades and big rubber.

You are planning on throwing blades with this rod, right?

Get a Komodo 463SS.

It is for my wife and would be her all purpose rod. She would throw small blades and small rubber. The plan is to have 65 pound line on the reel. Thanks for the responses and suggestions.

My wife had a choice between the 300 lexa, curado, and komodo 350 and she picked the komodo.

Do you have a sports shop near you. I would take her there and let her pick 1 out

If it is your wife, I would definitely stick with a 400 sized reel in a lower gear ratio. Big main gear with low gear ratio means cranking will be plenty easy.

The Revo Toro Beast with the long power handle attached (the reel comes with three handles) is also an excellent option.
