I use spiderwire stealth in 80 & 100 lb since it hit the market after Berkley whiplash was done. I've never had a break-off fighting a fish, and have landed many a big girl on it. not to mention have straightened out hooks pulling snags free. I don't think the line is the issue here, it's probably a cracked eyelet, poorly tied knot, or some really bad luck when a fish rolls in line and cut's it on it's own. which even so, is still a rarity given I've not ever seen that happen.

check your equipment boys n girls, it'll save you lots of heartache and $ in the long run.

I would be willing to bet that most of us have lost one - more that's bigger than the biggest one we've caught, I have. I'm happy with the ones I've caught and glad (but somewhat melancholy) for the ones I've at least had a chance at.
