I am looking at getting my older Ranger 619 carpets replaced including the cockpit floor and all surfaces including the hatches. I was just curious what prices I should expect for materials and labor. Currently contacting companies to gather quotes and was kind of shocked at the first ones to come in.

If you have had a boat done please let me know boat size and price.

Also, if anyone knows of any places near the west metro or west central Minnesota I would be greatful.

I'm getting my carpet replaced in my Crestliner 1850 Fish hawk this winter.
Got a quote from a guy in Britt Minnesota. He is supposed to be one of the best.
For the floors and decks was around 2,500.00 to 3,000.00.
Got another quote from a Marina who sells and services boats. They said 1,500.00
but they don't do too much of that. I guess you get what you pay for.

It's actually not that difficult to do on your own. I replaced all the decks and carpet in my boat 2 seasons ago, and if I can do it......anyone can lol.

I have a 1750 fishhawk for size reference. I think the carpet cost around $300-$350 if I'm not mistaken, plus the various glues I used to hold it down. That may have added another $100 to it.

I would think just redoing a fiberglass boat would be much easier than re-doing the decking and what not. I would say a day (maybe 2 depending on cleaning up the old glue) to tear out the old carpet and clean up the glue, and then another day to install the new carpet (maybe 2).

I have gotten a couple quotes ranging from $1500-2900. Surprising to me since the materials are $500 or less and both shops said they could have that work done in less than a week. One shop said it takes a week ONLY because they let the boat dry after the acetone wash of the floor so labor should be <30 hours. Just surprised with the range in prices being shown.

+1 to doing it on your own. My father and I redid an old fiberglass champion bass boat we picked up. We went for this option after realizing the cost of new carpet is just about what we paid for the boat...

The hardest part is scraping off the old carpet. All you need is glue, marine carpet, a sharp knife, a rivet tool (might not be necessary for your boat) and time.

no different than glass ... the money is in the monkey spending the hours and the broker booking them.

I have a 619 I'm also looking to get redone in the next year or two and i've gotten anywhere from 2k-4k. Majority of places said it takes a full week to do it correctly.

I restored a 96 Lund Pro V 1890 (19ft.) and replaced all of the carpet myself.

Being an ex-carpet installer, I enjoyed the challenge. I also found that it's a very time consuming project to do it correctly. For complete removal, installation including 7 hatches, installation to 2 deck levels, the sides, and 2 bait wells, I put an honest 42 hours into it, total. And I'm very particular with my work. If I were to do these more often, I could probably shave 5-6 hours off of that....but some removal may be tougher than others, taking the hours back up again.
A Pro V also has alot of ins and outs, and the hatches need to be removed/replaced after wrapping. The carpet alone was $400 through my Lund dealer, I wanted original equipment. Plus some minor adhesive costs. Be careful, there is a difference in quality in boat carpet...some are lighter weight than others. (Check the oz's per sq. inch.)

Based on my experience, I would guess that your project should cost somewhere between $2000 and $3000 as some have mentioned above, depending on the quality of labor available. Some day I might think about doing boats on the side...but not right now. I hope this info helps you, good luck with the project.

I'm hoping to take mine to Tuffy this winter and have them do the carpet.
