| I personally will be throwing bunch of hell hounds and other glide baits . If water temperature is higher than usual might throw some top water. |

Location: Blaine, Minnesota | Most likely hell hounds as well, along with a 5" slammer crank I got over the winter. I may go with a regular or spring dawg and similar smaller plastics depending on where the fish are staged. I also want to try to throw smaller and/or single-bladed bucktails this year. Mostly anything small - not just in the spring but also throughout the season to change it up from most anglers. |

Location: SW Ohio | Been throwing glides, small blades, cranks and suicks. Nada yet. Been out three times...once on Cave Run and twice on Caesar Creek. Our opener is when the ice is gone and I feel like getting my arse out in the boat. |

| I went out yesterday myself and tossed single bladed bucktails from mepps musky marabou to single 8 llungen, 6.8 keitech on an underspin, regular shallow swimming dawg, 5-6" cranks, squirrely hellhound, and a 6" phantom soft tail. Was up on a shallow rocky flat and didn't even see any fish. Some guys next to me were catching a few bass with a minnow under a bobber. I figured with the warmer Temps that they would be on the flats soaking in some heat but no dice, also thought with them guys catchingsome bass It might peak their interest but nope. I got my phantom hung up about 20' from shore and walked out to get it back lol. Water was warmer than I expected. I've been in swimming pools on summer nights that were colder. Pretty surprised that the water warmed that quick a couple weeks after it was ice covered. Blue bird skies round here which isn't normal but will be heading back out this week for musky and bass |

| I almost always start with a DDD, lots of long pauses..this year..first spot.. 10 minute...fish in the bag...muskie, the fish of 10 casts.  |

LOL, that is how I typically start my open water fishing and two years ago I hooked one of the biggest muskies I have seen on that. She was only on for a second but the tiny jig must have ticked her off because she stayed right under the surface and thrashed around for 4 or 5 seconds. Beats me why a big fish like that would grab a little 2" minnow, in particular because right before it hit I had been bothered by lots of little perch grabbing the minnows. |

| Its going to be my second season , and I didn't get my first fish until July 18th and I put in 15-20 hours every weekend . While my brother put in 4 at the opener. But these year I did my research and feel much more experienced. I have a good feeling about this year. |

Location: oswego, il | If the water temps are at or below spawning temps then a slower glider or a twitch bait that's less erratic. I can still vividly recall one instance on little arb getting my but handed to me tossing a 5.5" zalt zam. Has the kind of erratic darting action that will have you seeing a doctor after 4hrs. I took it off and put on a 6" bomber long a. My next three casts I caught 2 musky and a pike. That was a good lesson. |

| I'll start out with a variety of 1oz spinnerbaits, 5-6" Keitech swimbaits, 6" Suick walk-the-dog, and maybe a small Westin glide bait I just picked up. I'll be happy with a Muskie or a few big bass. |
