I can not get this pedestal out of the hole. Anybody had trouble with this kind or suggestions to get it out? I've sprayed liquid wrench in it with no change. |

| A couple good wacks with a rubber mallet, then tap around it with the mallet while lifting it out. John |

Location: oswego, il | Not a fan of that style seat post. Had one fail and when all said and do e cost me 600 bucks not to mention what your going through with this post. Change them out. Unless it's a princecraft which are bolted, they are screwed in. |

If the rubber mallet doesn't work, it might be easier to remove the base and put the pole in a vice, you won't take a chance on damaging the floor if you have to get aggressive with it too.

| After you get it out, spray it with WD40 occasionally throughout the summer. Mine was awful, but now I don't have any real problems getting it out |

| After you get it out, you can sand down the plastic base a little bit, and this really helps for future removals. |

| This worked like butter for me.. Had a seat that hasn't been out in 18 years pop right out.. Not sure if this will work in your situation, does your seat or something clip onto the top of that post?

| Try some Quick start around shaft and light it,blew the valve covers of my 283 like magic many years ago ha ha |
