Looking to fish either sucker or portage bay this weekend... Never fished the north end before. What're the water temps?

Fished Walker & Agency Bay 10/2 - 10/5 temps were low 50's. Snowed on us Friday and we did not see a fish till Sunday. wind was howling out North & Northwest most of the time. Best baits for us was Cowgirl and Medusa close to shore.

Fishing was really slow on Sunday and Monday. Shadzilla and Suckers were the only thing that interested them.

Just want to thank everyone who commented on this thread, we used the information given here and had successful weekend! We fished portage bay Saturday night and caught 2 fish. We fished Sunday morning as well but we got blanked. Had a blast out there on the big water

I officially now hate leech lake. That place kills me. At least the Walker side.

Well I tried posting a picture of the 39" fish but had problems with the size. I know I'll probably catch heck for this but second fish was mid 40's and lost at the net. Front half of the fish was in, but tail out. And with the wind and waves and us not having experience fishing in that stuff, the hooks caught the net and he shook loose before I could shake him into the net. I think I may need a bigger net too...
