I have looked at both places mentioned above and have only found the "metalic" or pearlescent type paints that use Mica pigments. I'm looking for the really pretty stuff you see on the Hughes River baits, Shimmering Shad patterns, etc. that use three dimensional "interference" pigments. On the web I can only find it for Air Brush applications... and not in an aerosol can.
If you find some..... PLEASE... post it here. I love irridescent paint... but can hardly figure out how to operate a can of spray paint... let alone an air brush..... |

Location: Holly, MI | Michaels Craft Supply store (as I'm sure others also) has some awesome metallic colors in Acrylic (squeeze bottle). I have both brushed them on and thinned them and airbrushed them. I have an antique metallic copper, metallic bronze, and a pearlescent white. These have mede some great lookin' carp colors for me. Teach me how to post a pic and I'll fire one at'cha. The acrylic, even brushed on looks smooth and shiny with a nice topcoat of envirotex or epoxy. |
