I know I said it would be a LONG TIME before I'd throw another Rattle Trap after tossing thousands of casts at the Cave, but found meself cranking them again this morning...BUT--hung and lost a humongo(over 25lb) rockfish and another one about 18lbs or so. Brother/Dad each got one and lost some too. Mark said to change the hooks...I didn't change the hooks, but will change to larger hooks for tomorrow evening. Just so happens that Traps were the only thing they'd nail, so at this time I will no longer say I won't throw them; in fact, I will perfect the fine art of "Trapping", and will cherish the little buzzers from here on out! If any of you guys have rocks up that way, give them a shot. You'll be surprised how hard they will hit a Trap zipped through a school of shad.

Shoot Dave, I went THROUGH the fence! Heading to Waldo Mart tomorrow morning for some more and a Fenwick 7'er for a little more hook set power. Nothing like getting spooled on light tackle and chasing the scudder down w/ the trolling motor. "I'm a Trap Man, da da da da, da da da da..."

Biggest pike of an 8 day trip came to me on a 1 oz trap. Then later that day I cast hard and watched it keep sailing with a broken leader. Learned the hard way on that one. Huge bass will hit 'em while casting for skis too.

Trappman, after a mixture of several different benzo-diazepines the vibration jitters went bye-bye. Thinking about marketing my own brand of Trapp-Tabs. The first tabs were a little too strong, had me Trapp Dancing. Also thinking about an ointment, going to call it Trapp-Eze.

I see a marketable item there dude! Whenever you begin to feel Trapped, pop a Trap Tab, rub on some Trap-Eze ointment and cast the day away. All we need now, is love, sweet love...sorry, got that song in me head and it won't go away...you need to come up w/ a cure for the latest "Sister Sledge" craze from Cave Run that is emptying the shelves of tackle shops nationwide. Someone needs to develope a list of must have baits for this coming Christmas season, just like they do the toys each year. That way we can join the rest of the country in pushing, shoving ,and knocking each other down to get what we need; if you get more than one, then you can put an ad. in the classifieds and charge exuberant prices, ticking off those unfortunate folks who couldn't get the desired baits...I think this has gone far enough????____________________________/
