I am going to be traveling and I am looking for a good 2 piece musky rod. I would like something that is light weight and will throw mid size baits. I presently have 7-6 to 8 foot rods and they will not fit in the bed of my truck and I cant put them in the cab.

Check the out St Croix Premier 2 pc. rods. I'm thinking real seriously about a couple of their 9 footers.

So have I but they dont break down as much as a TI. Believe they break down to 7ft and the TIs are 4.5

Second on the TI two piece 9' ers. Really like the action and durability. Great price too.

X3 on the TI 2pc rods... better feel, and action.

The St Croix Premier 9'ers break down to a 6' top pc, and and just over 3' handle section.

Just an FYI but you can also take the TI 2pc rods as a carry on for most airlines. Save you the $70 check baggage fee for rods. The tube itself is around 59" long that holds the rod parts. Only one spigot joint has broke for us in all the 2pc rods we have shipped. Been very very happy about these rods. When we made them I thought they would have limited sales but LOL they sell great! Have had a few customers take them to South America with great results for some big fish too!

Top sections of the Premier 2 piece are 75", offset ferrules make it behave more like a one piece since you don't don't have a ferrule right where the blank is doing all the work.
