| I fish Eagle river on the chain of lakes once a year and I have caught many small to medium sized muskies. I am after a trophy. I was wondering the biggest musky you have caught was, where you caught it (what lake, area, and What you caught it on. A response would be greatly appreciated. |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Adam if you want a lunker stay off the Eagle River Chain. It is not well known for putting out trophy size fish. There are some area lakes that are a whole lot better if you are seeking a fish over 45". |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I second CiscoKid's advice totally. The chain puts out an awful lot of fish every year but not a very high percentage over 40 inches. There are several lakes within a short trailering jaunt (ten to fifteen minutes) that will put you on a much higher percentage lake for those 40+ inchers. |

| Adam,
I have fished the chain 18 years now and you are usually going be looking at a numbers fishery more so than big fish. There are fish up to 48" caught every year out there but it is limited. I also guide the Eagle River Chain and if a client is looking for numbers of fish I will take them out there, if they are looking for big fish I will take them elsewhere.
