Rather than replace my 54" shaft for my PD-70, does anyone have any experience in removing the scratches on the shaft? Is there a specific paint that should be used on the shaft itself? Should it be sanded with a fine grit first? Just looking for answers on this one as my motor is in perfect shape, but the shaft is showing some major wear from use.

Thanks for any guidance

If it is cosmetics you are worrying about fine grit should Work fine. If you want your TM to deploy easier a rubdown with armor all will help you with that. Probably darken up the shaft also

Thanks. It is almost white with scratches in some spots due to constant deployment use in some areas. I use armor all on it consistently and darkens a little. Just looking for some other possible solutions
