Location: Madison, WI | It's been quite a while since anyone has brought this up on here (2012 I think), and I am interested in any new opinions. What do you think is the best kind of treble hook to buy to replace factory hooks? I recently had to cut some hooks and am looking to buy some replacements. Sounds like VMC, Eagle Claw, and Mustad are the most popular. Which one do you like best? Any others that I didn't mention? |

| Mustad 3551 and 35656... just be sure to have a good sharpener. They come dull and get dull easy but sharpen easy as well. I'll take a soft hook that dulls/sharpens easy over a hard hook that is basically worthless once it loses its point. |

Location: MPLS Metro | VMC is my vote. Really sharp when you get them and they stay sharp for a good amount of time. If you are looking for 5/0 I have a bunch. |
