Location: Germantown, WI | I spent a week on Lower Buckhorn in the Kawarthas of SE Ontario from 6/27 to 7/5 with my brother and nephew. My brother and I have been doing this trip for 32 years. Our Dad started taking us when I was 13 and my brother was 16. We are now both mid to late 40s while my nephew is 14. For the week we boated 21 Muskies with 6 over 40". The biggest Muskies were 2 that both went 44". The biggest Bass was a 21" Largemouth and biggest Walleye was 26". Our best success came on bucktails. The Muskies seemed to be a bit shallower than in recent years, probably due to the late Spring and lower weed growth. All of our fish were caught casting. We couldn't buy a strike trolling.
