this is my first post here btw...

so i seen some posts about balancing rods...
so i went in to a test mode...
tryd it with a 9 and a 12 ft feeder rod i had laying around,
worked out perfect..
in the bottom of the handle... i disconnected the handle part...
filled it with a liquid led... u can buy it in tubes at home depot...
not to expensive and works out great...
after that... the piece to reconnect it complete... this was tricky...
but i watched some very old school video's i had laying around about rod repair and fix
and this is what i ended up doing
just nylon and cotton wire.. for sewing up cloths and nail polish..
i winded the wire around the rod like a line... every layer i put nail polish between it..
and it works better then glue... nail polish is 100% water proof...
unlike glue it becomes hard like plastic and will make the wire stick 100%...
no need for fancy colors... just get the cheap stuff.. (unless if u want a fashion)
after about 3 hours i had a weight point for balance in the bottom, worked out amazing... about 1.5 lbs extra at the lower end... and still top flex at the top..
i will make some photo's later on on another rod i am going to do.. from start to end..

also will post some images on how to make your own tackle travel box for rods and bait..
and i will also post video's on rod repair when i get some free time from work...
and how to make your own parts
slammer1!

Been there done this. Loved the balance of the rod, hated the pain in my arms from the added weight. Ended up removing most of the weight.
