Sponge,

I checked Hatteras Outfitters and couldn't find the 6600 Rocket but I'm sure it's similar to the 6500's I saw. Smoothies are an improvement over stock drags as are double bearing levelwinds and the rest of the extra candy. I think it would be a good choice for just about anything short of "reeling in the years"

Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. The friends who listen to us are the ones we move toward, and we want to sit in their radius. When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand

Sponge,
Never heard the of the model "Rocket" but I have several red Abu Garcia reels (5601CB and 6601CB) if that is what you are referring to. I have 3+ years on them without a problem.

Thanks dudes...saw 1 in Waldo Mart; seems it has gold sided plates for 79.00. Hatteras Outfitters is only a couple hours from here, and I've been meaning to get down there; they can for sure fix up a primo reel! We need Dr Karl NOW, although water will allow me to unfold and expand...:O
