Posts: 32934 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | http://www.aeromarineproducts.com/transom-repair.htm Pull off the transom cap, make sure it's dry before applying. Remove the drain sleeves and follow the instructions. Good stuff.

Posts: 32934 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It's not hard to do. If the transom is solid, you need not worry about it, just seal it up and make sure the bolt holes, transom drains, and transom cap area are sealed. Seal up all drilled holes as well. Installing a new composite transom is not inexpensive.

Posts: 32934 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Depends on the situation. You'd need to get a quote from Tuffy.

Posts: 682 Location: Sycamore, IL | lund guy - 7/24/2014 11:12 PM how much dose a new transom typically run I had a new transom put in my Esox LTD about 5 years ago and it ran about $1200. It was not done by Tuffy and is not composite...if you want the name of the fiberglass repair place I used shoot me a PM. They are located in the Rockford area. Good Luck!

Posts: 32934 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Call in again Monday or ask for sales to get a quote emailed to you. They probably will need to see the boat to quote it and decide if it's something they want to proceed with. Transom repair is not something they do as a matter of course, it's something they do when they have open time in the shop, and I am sure you were put through to one of the owners there; very busy people. Patience.
