| Where is the best place to stay when hiring Spencer Berman as a guide on Lake St. Clair? Any suggestions? Any cabins? Places on the water?

| I would contact him, if you want to know for sure----it depends on where you will be fishing. There are several hotels around the lake---HE can direct you to the right place. Good luck! |

Visitors used to Wisconsin and northwest Ontario have a hard time understanding the absence of resorts or fishing camps on St Clair. That's not a recent change --never were common there. Other than Belle River or the reservation on Walpole island camps were not feasible. The lake is in a BIG city and vacationers go north to get away from Detroit. |

Location: oswego, il | Larry, while I agree with your statement from a fishing purist standpoint, you would be hard pressed to find better fishing for any of the species lsc has to offer. The bass(lm and SM), walleye, white bass and perch fishing is just plain stupid. The muskies speak for themselves and the pike fishing isn't bad either. |

Location: New Jersey | Hiring Spencer Berman doesn't actually mean you're fishing with Spencer. You may want to confirm that you're not with one of his "overflow" guys so you don't get up there and get disappointed. I almost learned that the hard way. |

| Anything North of 8 Mile road in Detroit should be ok (e.g., Roseville, Warren, etc.). As others have mentioned, I would contact Spencer first. You never know where you will launch and you could still be driving 30 minutes to a launch from your hotel, so your first priority should be safety (i.e., stay somewhere where you can sleep somewhat comfortably knowing your car won't be jacked). |

Location: oswego, il | The baymont and red roof in in rosevile are also places musky fisherman stay. Baymont has electrical hookups too. Plenty of places to eat right there. |
