I'm looking to buy a couple creepers and was wondering what some of your favorite ones are. As a kid I caught my first legal on a bauer creeper and had some others on the creepin' hawg from bauer too. I was thinking of just getting one of each but wanted to get some other opinions. Lets try to keep it to the ones that a guy could actually go out and buy today. (I bought a couple rylure creepers last year and they look great, and are made like tanks, but both of them sink so I need to find another brand to try out).

Tyrant Tackle has a nice creeper called the dictator. Has a real nice sound and good color selection.

I don't have the experience that many do on here, but have found that tying my line directly to topwater lures instead of using a snap swivel or heavy leaders makes them run a lot better then having heavy hardware in front of them. Not sure if there is a better answer, but it works for me.

My favorite is a jointed BS Willy, but he hasn't made them for a few years now. If you can find one buy it.

That said i do like Monster lures creepers as well. Smaller ones for the Madison area and the Creeppenstein for the waters of MN and CA.

I've had very good luck with a Bitten creeper. Works great at medium and slow speeds and especially at extremely slow speed. I have about a dozen fish on mine including a couple big ones and have NEVER had to tune the blades. If you have the patience to reel slow enough it's a great producer!

BS Willy jointed creeper is also my favorite one, but you won't find one for sale. Of the available ones , I really like Lee Lures creepshow.
