I'm heading up to leech Friday night for the week. Just wondering if anybody has been moving any fish in portage bay or pelican island area. I don't need any spots was just hoping for a couple clues.

It's my experience that Leech's muskies don't really get going until the heat sets in. A lot of guys say July 4th. I'd suggest any bay where you can find emerging cabbage and I don't think a trip to North Bar near Pelican is ever a waste of time. Try Battle Point too.

The key for me has been 70 degree water. When the water has been over 70 I'm moving fish. These cool nights or heavy rain don't seem to help (back at 66 this morning) but I imagine afternoon/evening could be better for active fish. Cabbage is starting to look pretty good though in some spots. In another week, there will be people everywhere casting the big baits I imagine
