What is the best type of line or boat or short-line trolling. Not concerned with planer boards - for now anyhow.

Mono or Braid ?

# Test ?

I use 80lb power pro on a fiberglass rod. If you use a graphite rod short trolling you will want 50lb big game.

I use 80# Power pro on all my setups without any issues. If you're not running any boards, I'm assuming you're trolling 4 rods? I use 9'6" Shimano TDRs for my out rods (closer to front of boat) then two 7' Ugly Stick Tigers for my two down rods. All on Tekotas. Gives us a great spread

Same stuff, 80lb power pro. I use church boards with the locking clips.
