Location: Detroit River | About 20 years ago I bought a similar lure that had a silicon skirt with one prop & a much smaller size that was geared toward bass & pike. I had bought the parts to make this several years ago but never got around to actually making it so I finally stopped procrastinating & made a smaller musky version to experiment with this weekend. I’m thinking about adding an Esox Assault Killer tail. |

Location: oswego, il | Blades could give a unique sound. I have thrown a tiny spinner with those blades before. I have made some cool buzz baits with unique blade combinations will have to post pics. |

Location: WI | This bait hangs with some other vintage baits in my man cave. It's a Pflueger tandem spinner I found in my grandpas box after he passed.

Ya I did bulk up the skirt too much. I do it with my double 8's & 10's but shouldn't have done it with this because it hindered the casting distance. I didn't add as much weight as I do on my regular bucktails because I thought it would run deeper & wouldn't need more weight. I tried for only a few casts Friday evening (in the rain) & it ran a good foot or more under the surface and the blade spun really good but I wasn't happy with the casting distance due to the bulky skirt. I'll rebuilt it with more weight & put a EA 6" Killer tail on it. I would of used it more but I had already caught 2 muskies on a double 8 & had 2 others follow & jump out of the water after the bucktail so I couldn't justify experimenting with another lure. |
