| Has anyone here ever fished Monksville Reservoir? I want to go check it out but I want to know if its worth me driving up there and what they like to go for lure wise. Thanks for the help and good fishing guys!!! |

Depending on the drive it can be worth it.
Do you have stocked waters near you?
The usual baits work at MVR at times. The lake has herring, perch and walleye as well as carp white bass. So lots of color patterns to choose from. The water is generally pretty clear and the lake is only 500 acres and within a short drive of i dont know 10 million people so these fish see their share of musky lures.

| Skip it. Go 10 miles from Monksville and fish Greenwood lake north end we call Monksville... Skunksville |

| Agree Greenwood is a bit easier but Skunksville is just a convenient nick name. It`s just a matter of timing. I pulled a fat 50" outa there last year so it can`t be that hard. |
