Posts: 39 | Although I haven't fished with him, if I were going to hire a guide in N. Wisconsin, I would consider Lee Bastian of Rhinelander. He has a reputation for producing. I've gotten to know him a little because he works at Mel's Trading Post, a sporting goods store in Rhinelander, and he is really personable. I think it would be a day well spent to fish with him.

Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | Second on Paul and Jeff. Went to school with Jeff and he is an excellent angler. Hunt quite a bit with Paul and we're always in birds...unless we're sinking on Winnebago.

Posts: 1283 | Ive got Jeff booked this aug. Seems like a fun guy to fish with, and he just catches fish. I also stay on Big St every year and will talk with Rob M about getting out for a day on Big St Germain. Ive never had any real luck with skis on that lake, and didnt realize he was right there the entire time.

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | Both Rob and Jeff would be top choices assuming you can get them … they both are pretty busy as a result of their capabilities. Doug is another one that would be a great choice.

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | I may be a little biased, but I would hire Mark Lijewski if I were you. The guy tends to fly under the radar but puts a lot of big fish in the boat every year. Other than that, you can't go wrong with the likes of Rob Manthei, Doug Smith, Paul Klein, or Jake Smith. JS

Posts: 68 | I used Langkamp's Guide service in the Hayward area. We have been fishing that area for years and had plenty of follows but never stuck one, so we hired a guide. Micah sure put us on fish! Didn't think I would ever land 4 in one day but I did! Plus had many more follows. He is a great guy to fish with!
