Location: N.FIB | how hot do onboard chargers get after charging a few hrs, mines 5yrs old bass pro charger and I noticed the charging light was on but not the power light so I reached down to touch it and it was pretty hot.I have never touched it while charging before so not sure if that's how it is or it`s time to replace,I unplugged it even though it was charging my batterys but was worried about a fire. |

| Never touched mine, but all the mounting instructions say not to mount directly, especially if on carpet. They recommend some sort of standoff for air circulation.
What kind is it? I'm not sure what no power light and yet the charging light is on means. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I have a Minn Kota 2 bank and it doesn't seem to get more than just warm if I remember correctly. With that said, they do seem to be specific with mounting instructions, so maybe some get pretty hot. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I just checked mine and it's cool to the touch, BUT, the batteries are charged and it's just maintaining them now. It could get hot while charging. Not sure I've ever checked it when it's charging. |
