Looking or a little help. I'm trying to find the value of a Lowrance elite-5 DSI new in the box with trolling motor trandsducer. I didn't have any luck on Lowrance's website. Just wondering if anyone on here has purchased this unit and how much they run with the trans. Also for the ones that have one, how do you like it? Thanks

I have one and it comes with the transducer. I paid 329.00 during a black friday sale at Cabelas. I really like it once you set it up right. Only downside is when using GPS/sonar split screen. 5" just isnt big enough to see from a distance.

I think they were selling them last for around 370 with some sales going down close to 300.. The new model is the HDI which includes traditional sonar too...for 400 new. I would think if you got 300 for it, you'd be getting a deal.. 250 is probably a more reasonable asking price.

Got mine last year with the gold navionics card shipped for $360. Once I did the ten minutes of youtube research on how to use it, I actually like it. It only has a couple settings to adjust but its tricky at first. The owners manual really sucks. When looking for fish, going straight ahead, it is great. The transducer isn't a cone shape, it's a swath, or slice of water that its reading. It needs to be going in a straight direction to work perfectly. For a troller... fantastic... Probably even preferable. But if I'm not going forward, I take what im reading with a slight grain of salt and interpret it differently. I use it the way it was meant to be used and its more than functional. And I'm with the last guy, I think you'll probably end up at about $250.

Bought one just before Christmas and just installed it the other day. Haven't used it yet but however good it works will be a HUGE upgrade from what I'm used to as well. I paid $330 shipped to my home.

After I posted this Jaimy I watched just the head unit sale on ebay for 365 plus shipping. I've got 400 in this one with a nice ram mount so I'm not upset over it. I'm anxious to get it on the ranger and hit the dead sea this weekend!

Can't wait to get out and play with the new Lowrance as well. Gonna try to get out locally in the next week or two to play with the settings and get familiar before my first "trip" in June.
