Location: tamahawk,wi-elmwood pk,il | Fifteen years ago I used to fish Bluff, Catherine & Marie with an old Buddy who has now passed away. We always had good success on buck tails.
I've now become some Top-Water aficionado. Have some of you guys had luck and what are some of your favorite colors and lure types?
Going to be fishing that area in the next couple of weeks.
I appreciate your input and help/ideas.

Location: Northern Illinois | I fish the chain a lot. I'm not a big topwater guy, but we have moved some fish
on the standard fare....top raiders. Only have tried topwater during the hotter summer months though. Was out last Saturday & water temps were around 49
degrees. Threw for about three hrs. and nothing was moving. Good luck maybe

| I caught my biggest IL fish out of bluff on a top water early summer or spring. This was around 2000 so I don't recall the exact date. It was chart/blk tallywacker. Used to love fishing the chain. Don't be afraid to fish south as well. BR |
