After you have preserved an actual bucktail, how do you dye it?

I had looked into this before and others had used RIT fabric dye. With the preserving the tail and mixed results dying the tail, just decided it was easier to buy them.

I always tied them up with white hair and dyed them in an alum. pot with Rit dye after they were tied up. Bring them to a slow boil and check for correct color. I never did over a dozen at a time. Musky Glenn
