I just upgraded to a 36 volt Terrova on my 618, and I am thinking about moving the three batteries to the front storage box.
By doing so I hope to get on plane quicker and maybe better tracking. Not that either is a problem now.

Has anyone here tried this ?

Any thoughts ?

Thanks !

I know of one guy that has upgraded to a 36 volt but I do not know how he has it rigged...I assume that putting the batteries in the front compartment would work just fine. The added weight up front may not help when fishing into really big waves but that is something you will have to test out. You may just have to think about how you want to rig your on-board charger. When youre done it should be a pretty sweet setup! You will lose that little bit of storage in a situation when you lack a lot of storage anyway, but not a huge deal. Good luck!
