I value your guys' opinion on here more than anyone, so I'm trying to find a good place for a family trip on the Eagle River Chain. We've stayed at Venn's (a long time ago) and the Chanticleer Inn, and I wanted to see if anyone on here had any recommendations for a good place/their favorite place. Preferably in the proximity of a lot of muskies haha. Thanks guys!!!

If you're looking to do your own cooking, Copperwood Condos, on the chain - Duck Lake, have weekly rental options and lots of units to choose from, with your own boat slip. Nice, big units.

Exactly, if you have family going with you and fishing isn't really their thing, this is the place to go. Its kinda pricey but the entire chain is for the most part. Check it out.

Stay a little west of there on big st germain lake. Check out stgermainlodge.com. Great good and cocktails right there at Fibber's. Nice beach and excellent fishing! Besides that you have one of the best Vilas county guides, Rob Manthei as an owner of the resort to point you in the right direction or take you on a great guide trip!

If/when you stay on the chain, hit me with a PM and I'll give you some tips that should put you on some fish. Love the ER chain.

I 2nd eagle Waters. Awesome dining and accomodations whether you want a cabin or a luxury condo. If your kids like to swim, they will love the pool. Good location for fishing as well. Your right in the middle of the chain, Eagle Lake has some of the deepest water and contains some of the larger muskie in the chain from my experiences.
