Im looking for any suggestions for renting a cabin/home on a lake in northern WI during july this summer. I would like to have multi species fishing and good numbers musky fishing. Not looking for trophy that week, that will be LOTW the first week of August. Needs to be at least 3 bedroom, swimming area, and place to dock my boat. I've spent a lot of time camping on the chip so I'm looking for something different. I see lost land and teal are 10mph only/ no wake…anyone really follow that while fishing?? I wouldn't be pulling tubes or running 60mph but would like to be able to run on plane and that body of water looks interesting…

thanks for any info,

adubs

You might want to look for something on the Spider Lake Chain, it has the fishing your looking for. Moose Lake might be an option too.

I'm sorry, but I saw this awhile back and had to link it. Why not hit the Eagle River chain? This place is nice and "affordable"

Edit:
On a serious note, if you want to be fed, checkout Sunrise Lodge in Land O' Lakes. Family owned and on Lac Vieux Desert. Plenty of cabins, a couple docs, and nearby a bunch of good lakes.

Ross' Teal Lake Lodge has been a place my folks have gone for years. They enjoy when it is a small cabin with just the two of them, or the larger ones when the extended family all goes. This place has all the items on your list and then some, as they have paddle boats, canoes and such. They also have a pool, along with a beach area which is nice on a cooler or windy day as it is protected for the kids. Good lake to fish, has structure and various bays, points and islands. Cabins are right on the water and the Teal river is on the East side of the property if you like to canoe. The islands are a great place to lunch, or explore for kids. Cabins are nice and they have a ton of different setups so you can pick the layout that you like.

I think I'd stick to the 10 MPH limit on Lost Land and Teal. I don't fish them much as I feel like 10 MPH is a silly speed to go. My boat is just a couple MPH from planing, where I would create less wave disruption than plowing through the water at 10 MPH. Not everybody does, but the regulation IS in place so I tend to stick to it. With that said, even though each lake is about 1,000 acres you can get around on them, you just aren't going to run back and forth between each end in 5 minutes.

Spider has a 10 MPH speed restriction at certain times too. I think there is no speed limit from something like 11:00AM-3:00 PM on Spider. Lots of 28-32" muskies on Spider from what I've seen in a half dozen or so trips out there.

I second Big St. Germain Lake. Great multi species lake and fun for the whole family.

White Birch Village in Boulder Junction. Facilities are awesome and very family oriented. Also White Birch connects to Ballard which is an excellent numbers lake for musky.

Lost land / teal is a great place to fish and vacation---10MPH---I have seen boats going faster than that but not much !! the local land owners will certainly turn you in for going to fast. I have fished all over those lakes and never had a problem with the 10 mph thing. It's rather enjoyable as far as fishing goes to not have a bunch or boats and skiers running around.
