Posts: 160 | Decided to go for more speed when I'm boating on the weekend and not musky fishing. Has Anyone fished out of a allison xb2003. If so how was it. I just bought this boat. Just need to upgrade electronics and trolling motor. Looks like it should fish well. Plenty of deck and it's a smooth ride in rough water. Great gas mileage too Edited by esox4130 3/2/2014 8:09 PM Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

Posts: 572 | I always wanted to fish out of one. Wow! A muskie fisherman owns an Allison....quality all the way. Way to go. 225 should make that boat fly. If I ever win the power ball, I'll have an Allison boat too. Those interested in your xb-2003 http://www.allisonboats.com/content/bass-boats/xb-2003/ Edited by Muskie Bob 3/2/2014 9:34 PM

Posts: 160 | Should be a good musky boat. Complete wind protection. Good size deck. Lots of storage and 9ft rod locker. The new xb21 is awesome just out of my range.

Posts: 4343 Location: Smith Creek | You have a Garage Troll. He's hiding in front of the console in the 2nd to last pic. Be careful, they like to steal or misplace your tools.

if you have never driven a boat like this all i can say is take it easy at first. i myself have a 21 xdc bullet' i love that boat but when you get 60mph to 70mph and up waves and object come at you very fast. you almost get tunnel vision. keep an eye on the water 100 yard in front of you. have fun and be safe

Posts: 160 | Thanks guys. My dad raced there drag boats and has owned 19 Allison's so I've had seat time just always wanted one of my own and finally found a very clean one. With a 225 promax at 65mph it gets close to 6.5mpg which is better then mu g3hp190 with a 150 got at 30 lol. Im trying to come up with some ideas to protect the boat is anyone has ideas like pipe insulation on net handle etc. for handling fish. It's almost painful to think about resting the net on the side of the boat with the handle being metal hah. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Posts: 347 Location: eagle river, wis | as to your question,I had mine for 3 years and fished lake of the woods with it a lot.It is an easy boat to fish from both casting and releasing fish. They are very good on gas milage if you keep your foot out of the throttle.Nice layout on the decks. The light weight made it a little harder to control in wind but overall a nice boat to fish out of.Big waves were not a problem as the boat had enough length and stayed on top of the waves.Older age migrated me to Ranger fisherman series and am on the 4th 621 now.I do miss the allison. jeff

Posts: 1000 | I fished out of one a few years back. It was unnervingly fast. I've ridden in a lot of bass boats and that thing was just nuts.

Posts: 1189 Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | a bass boat (the best musky platform there is) with a back seat?!! hmmm, maybe in a few years when the 4 year olds grow a bit and get to be proficient casters, I might have to go back to the bass boat style. ![]()
