| Ive never fished any big water but was looking at Spring Bay resort. Me and some buddies are wanting to go. They are not all big musky guys. Be a multi species trip but I wanna focus on muskies as much as I can. Any help or suggestions would be appriciated. |

Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | The Big V. is not only a big fish lake but one of the best multi species Lake around ,you can focus on the muskies and let your fishing buddies catch the shore lunch. Give it a try you never know. I always say I don't find the muskies, the muskies find me. Good fishing to you  Marv. |

Location: Minnesota | Vermilion is a big lake, but there are so many bays and islands you can all ways find calm water . there are good fishing close to spring bay for both musky and lunch. vermilion is a fun lake to fish. |

Location: oswego, il | The west end has a great panfish population. Bluegills, crappies, perch good sized ones. Take a tiny panfish sized beetle spin, tip it with a small gulp maggot or curly grub. Add a couple split shots in front of it. Cast shorelines untill you find a school. |

| You won't find a better place to stay anywhere on the lake. My family has been staying there every summer for years and we have a wonderful trip everyday. I make another trip each Fall with just the guys. We have caught musky over 50, pike over 41, walleye over 29 and all the bass and panfish we can catch. Give Steve a call at the resort and he can set up everything you need for a trip you will never forget. |

| We went to Vermillion three or four times when I was a kid. I remember having a blast. We stayed at a cabin that you had to boat to but couldn't tell you the name of the place to save my life. Now that I fish for Muskie I'd love to go back. One year (16-17 years ago I'd imagine) we even stayed at the Casino. Do many people do that these days? |

| The docks and cove at Vermilion Dam Lodge are like a bluegill farm, with bonus largemouth and pike common. My 7 year old daughter and niece easily caught 1500 gil's never leaving the dock during our week stay in July. VDL puts you right in the middle of the system also. Nice place and they have a pool, paddle wheelers and kayaks all complimentary for the family. Beautiful lake! Smart muskies! |

| I would highly recommend Spring Bay Resort also. Great service and very cabins. Also in regards to the fishing it is top notch. |

| Just a heads up...guys who go up for a week and only target musky can often leave very frustrated. As Jim Saric stated in musky hunter magazine, "The days of going to Mille Lacs and Vermilion and strapping on a big bucktail for a week and leaving with a Giant are over." I personally have seen the rise and decline and he is dead on which is why there are so many frustration reports on here but the chances are still there just right place right time |

| Its a great lake, just not a easy lake for the first or second time person. Put in your time, do your due diligence and you can be rewarded. |

Location: Otsego, MN | Hire a guide day one especially if your muskie fishing a lot, it would be money well spent. You'll get some community type spots to fish and learn the lake as well. ( not all rocks have a can floating on top them) |
