Hi Everyone,

Seeing a couple of the more "candid" shots of muskies being released, Lets see your best candid shot of releases that maybe...didn't go as well as planned...but on the humorous side. I got a chuckle out of the couple in mid air. Looks like a nice face-slap was given.

I wish I had the picture...

It was the smallest musky I have ever caught. It fought surprisingly hard for maybe about 5 seconds. As we brought it to the boat and saw how small it was we started cracking up. Decided to take a picture because it was the first one of the season and the smallest one I ever saw. Just as by buddy went to snap the picture, it went nuts, and the picture showed me holding my hands about a foot apart, looking up in the air, with the fish in mid air on it's way back home. Funny stuff.

Here is one a split second before getting tossed back in the water. Sometimes they are a little slippery.

Squirrely from the get-go, this one coiled up in the water during release and grabbed my free hand before swimming away. Looked like I gutted a pig in the boat by the time I got a handle on the bleeding.

Here's about a four footer that wanted to jump over my splashwell more than it wanted to let me measure it..
Pretty funny now, but at the time I was not thrilled..!
My buddy with kids says to me " you look like you just got your candy taken away"

Here's a lively one I caught last summer on Pewaukee:

And here's one of my favorites... Going back a few years I took a friend out on Pewaukee for an evening TW bite I was on. He caught his first WI musky and posed once for a picture, then as he turned to lean over to release the fish, she flopped out and I captured his hands in the same position they were when he was holding on to her - one finger under the gill, the other hand he had around her tail, lol... It was hilarious.

You could photo shop a guitar in his hands and it'd look perfect.
