Posts: 18 | I just picked up a copy of musky strategy by tom gelb .Its a pretty good read and have got lots of tips from it and it has changed the way i will approach certain situations when targeting open water giants. I am wondering if any one out there can identify the crank bait that appears in many pictures through out the book including on the cover. I have never seen this bait before and am curious as to what it is .if anyone can tell me what the bait is i would appreciate it thanks.

Posts: 51 | I don't know the answer to your question but will offer a suggestion as I too have had specific questions regarding Tom Gelb's book. I put a post out on the Musky Hunter website. It turned out that Steve Heiting forwarded my questions to Tom Gelb. Tom responded to Steve with very specific information to answer my questions. In turn, Steve pasted Tom's reply into my thread. This was done in a timely manner, with information that was most helpful. Tight lines!

Posts: 192 | Matt is probably correct but when II saw it I thought it looked like one of the 700 series Crane baits. Maybe a 708 or 710. Those lures have a similar shaped diving lip and line tie wire.....but I'm not really sure.

Posts: 455 | Depends. Does it look like a fresh brand new lure the guy holding the fish happens to make or does it look beat up?

Posts: 455 | Get them in buy and trade if you want one. A great lure is the most important piece of equipment you can have!
