I have to take down my peg board lure rack in the basement to get that house "show ready" for selling. All my "A Team" lures will stay in my boat and tackleboxes but I have to store some of my "B Team" for a few months at least - could be a year. Some of those "B Teams" are 'Dawgs and 'D's that are colors I don't use much or have been chewed and need some repair. I won't get to that project for a while.

I'm going to store them in bins and was thinking about rolling each one individually in unprinted newspaper or plan old brown wrap (think grocery bags). I was also thinking about a heavy type of plastic wrap.

Anyone with any experience in this - will the plastic of the lures "react" to anything. If I use paper, will it draw out any oils or anything and make them dry ?

Musky Innovations wraps them in plastic when buying loose Dawgs at shows. I'd do what they do and use plastic. I've kept Dawgs in plastic bags for a few yrs at a time.

I would not use newspaper. The ink from the paper will bleed onto them. It wipes off easy enough with just your finger. But may as well avoid that and use something else.

I store them in the large Plano plastic bins.. the only issue I've experienced is TI's pink being lightly transferred to the white tail on one of their "D"s. and it actually improved the look IMHO.

I keep MI separate from TI, separate from Shack Attack... you get the idea.

For really bright colors, I keep them in Ziploc bags.. never thought about the kraft paper bag option, or wax paper either!

here you go, keeps moisture down cause there is extra air and who wants to wrap and un rap lures all the time, found a more square tote, got four 8' section of PVC down spout, chop saw took 4 minutes to cut them all, and i have 3, and they make it easy to transport store and with a lid makes them rain proof, total cost was about 40 bucks to have 55 holes in 1 tote, but i used 2x3, if your gunna do mostly dogs may be easyer if you use 3x3" downspout

in 1 pic you can see i used a milk crate too, all that tackle fits into the medium tote, since last year i have blown another 1400 in lures, i guess i collect them haaha
