I am doing something wrong Tackle Industries has a long way to go! LOL

The lakefront home of former Spirit Lake industrialist Tom Bedell has been put on the market for $14.9 million. Bedell led the company Pure Fishing, founded more than 70 years ago as Berkley’s Flies by his father, former U.S. Rep. Berkley Bedell.

LOL. Notice the monthly payment of $60,526. Pure Fishing owns so many top brands its ridiculous. Making the kind of money he's got is a complete fantasy.

Maybe one of his buddies from the Jarden Corp. will take it off his hands.

I never wanted to be or am rich, however I live comfortable and well. Dad was a WWII Vet. and a Coal Miner he worked hard and long for all he had. I worked for all I got an appreciate what I have. I seen people become rich and it changed and ruined them eventually. Some can and some can't handle it. I'm happy as is! ! I think of the Pro ball players making millions each year to put on a helmet, then think of our Servicemen and Women who put on a similar helmet and protect our freedom, risk their lives and get paid little.

LOL I could have everything I own in that house including 7 semi trucks of tackle and fork trucks and tractors, etc and still have 15,000 sq ft of living space. Would make for a nice heated warehouse.... LOL my current home and warehouses would fit in that house

He had to have a drinking problem. Did you see the full Irish Pub in his basement. Who puts that in a house!?!?!?

I knew a Gentleman, late 60's multi-millionaire, great family, very successful business, lived in a mansion, all the play toys, good health. Then discovered Viagara and younger women that came with his money and assets. Marriage fell apart wife wanted out and over half of everything, he couldn't adjust to living for less and killed himself. Some people can handle it some can't. I'm so happy for what I got and maybe what I don't have too.

X2 on Jim Lock's comment. You'll get your due some day just for what you do for Vets.

Thank you!

James....what!?! Matt and I are not going to get rich??? How am I supposed to break that news to my wife? LOL

Concur with all the other Vet's assesments! I've come to the realization that "rich" is a relative term. It can be applied to a number circumstances.

Much like you, I would rather be "rich" with good family, friends, and health. Can't take any of those material items to your grave...well unless your a Egyptian King!

100% agree Chris and I know you and your wife get it... You live it! Many know my story of why I give most of my profits away but I was not always like this. I owe my little girl a lot for showing me 8 years ago "wealth" has nothing to do with money. Recently I got laid off from my day job but I knew things would work out and sure enough they did.... I was brought back last week and I feel so fortunate. Was getting a little worried I was going to have to slow the donations but all worked out well. On that note, don't forget to visit the Operation Musky booth at Milwaukee and pick up a $15 Camo-D. 100% of the money goes to help show 20 lucky Veterans a great time this year at LOTW!!! FYI-These lures will also be in our booth at the Madison, Wausau and Minnesota show too and are on our TI website if you are not close to a show. I have a really cool idea/program for next year too. You will just have to wait and see Now back to looking at the Irish pub and dreaming...

James

I can say this, when the meetings were over and maybe some libation was in hand the conversation never really drifted to how was the last fishing trip! You give up allot to end up with allot. You have to decide if the money alone is worth it. When you have all the loot you find out you don't want or have the ability to do the things we hold so dear.

Perhaps this warning on Viagra presriptions: "WARNING: if you are rich, this could kill you."
